Seyyed Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini:

Turkey’s violation of Syrian airspace meant to get NATO involved

Tehran, June 26, (ICANA) – Rapporteur of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyyed Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini has said that the violation of Syria’s airspace by a Turkish warplane is a conspiracy intended to get NATO involved in the Arab country.

“Turkey is seeking to create a commotion to get NATO involved in Syria,” Naqavi-Hosseini said.

The Iranian MP stated that recent allegations about the role of Russia in the incident should be considered along the same lines.

“The situation in Syria and the unfortunate meddling of some neighboring countries in the internal affairs of this country have caused much sensitivity,” he added.

Naqavi-Hosseini said hostile forces are trained and armed in neighboring countries and sent into Syria in order to carry out terrorist operations.
