Alaeddin Boroujerdi:

Saudi Arabia worried about expanding wave of Islamic Awakening

Tehran, June 6, (ICANA) – Member of Iran's Majlis Alaeddin Boroujerdi says that Saudi Arabia's recent claim about Iran's nuclear program is only a ploy to divert the public opinion from the regional developments.

In an interview with ICANA on Wednesday, Boroujerdi said, "The recent claims made by Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal over Iran's nuclear program is in line with Riyadh's general policy to underestimate the developments in the Arab world and divert the public opinion from the Arab spring.

He further noted that such remarks prove that Saudi monarchy is deeply worried about the contagious effects of the Islamic awakening.

"Saud al-Faisal should express concern about the threats imposed by Israel and its big nuclear arsenal," he added.
