Amano's Tehran visit in line with talks in Vienna
Tehran, May 20, (ICANA) – The Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the presence of Amano in Tehran is in line with talks held in Vienna.
Boroujerdi noted Amano's presence in Iran would be in line with discussions held in Vienna, expressing hope Amano's presence in Tehran before Baghdad's negotiations would be helpful.
Boroujerdi added Amano would pay a visit to Iran to hold talks on mutual cooperation between Iran and the IAEA with Iranian officials.
He referred to the objective of Amano's visit to Iran, saying Iran and the IAEA have already held talks in Vienna and the Head of the UN Atomic Agency's visit seeks continuing the mutual negotiations.
The Iranian Parliament member went on to say that Iran's policy is to respect the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the IAEA regulations.
He stressed that the IAEA monitoring process is fully performed in form of inspections and cameras, but the U.S. and Zionist regime try to create doubts by presenting fake information, but Tehran's talks can resolve the issue.
Boroujerdi pointed out that negotiations in Tehran would help foil the U.S. operational and political plans on Iran's nuclear issue.
