Ban on Weekly Lifted

TEHRAN, July 8 (ICANA) – Hardline weekly 9 Dey, which was barred for two weeks, has been allowed to resume publication until its fate is decided by the commission that oversees the performance of the press.

The ban on the weekly, run by cleric Majlis deputy Hamid Rasaei, was prompted in part by its publication of a cartoon of former President Mohammad Khatami.
